A message from Superintendent John Parker

Happy New Year! As we progress through the year, I want to reflect on the steady momentum across our learning communities—made possible by the collective efforts of our students, staff, families and community.
We are making significant inroads on our Strategic Roadmap by centering student and parent voice in our decision making. Our Student Advisory Council, now in its third year, offers valuable insight, and we are excited to add a Parent Advisory Council to further strengthen shared priorities.

In our classrooms, teachers are collaborating through Professional Learning Communities, using data and shared practices to improve instruction and student outcomes—work that is already making a positive difference.

We are also listening closely to feedback on our more balanced calendar, designed to support pacing and well-being. A recent survey showed 73–84% satisfaction—affirming this direction.

With thoughtful planning, financial stability and strong community partnerships, our district is well positioned for continued success. Together, we are building a school system that reflects our shared values, and creates infinite possibilities for all students.
